About Emily

Hi, my name is Emily. I have been coding for two years. (Since 2018). One thing that I have learned about coding is trial and error. Another thing that I have learned is it can be a useful tool in today’s world.

My Stress Project

My animation is about how to balance work and play. Balancing work and play helps to reduce stress. The animation centers on a golden retriever named Gwen. At the beginning of the animation she is reading, but then she looks at the clock and starts to stress a little bit. Gwen then recognizes she can balance her work and play. The next scene she is shown with a ball in her mouth, along with friends Wendy and Carol. (Wendy is the wheaten and Carol is the dalmatian.)

My Project

My app is about polar bears. The reason I created an app on polar bears is because the topic that we chose was endangered animals. One endangered animal is the polar bear. My app is a multi-level maze and quiz game. The player moves the polar bear by clicking on fish and berries then answering a set of three questions on levels one and two. On level three, the polar bear plays with a friend.

What I liked about this project was that it showed me how to code and it was my first big coding project. What I found most challenging was trial and error, but my teacher and other students helped me with my code.
